Young Adult Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills Group
This group meets weekly and teaches young adults the five DBT skills: Mindfulness, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Emotion Regulation, Distress Tolerance and Walking the Middle Path. We utilize a combination of didactic and experiential learning to help group members gain a solid understanding of these skills. Through this, young adults will learn how to increase their ability to cope with intense emotions, be more effective in their communication with family and peers, increase awareness and focus, and replace impulsive behaviors with skillful behaviors. We also provide process time to relate these skills to real life experiences.
